The CCBA Summit Beer Festival will bring California craft breweries to the Western Museum of Flight at Torrance Municipal Airport on Saturday, November 7. General admission runs from 1 to 5 p.m.; VIP ticket holders enter at noon.

This is a plan-ahead pick for the following weekend, with tastings, historic aircraft, live music, and food vendors sharing one setting.

California breweries, Torrance surroundings

The California Craft Brewers Association advertises more than 80 participating breweries. Its published lineup includes local names such as Absolution, HopSaint, Monkish, Red Car, Scholb, and Smog City, alongside breweries from elsewhere in the state.

Because the roster is still being updated, check the current list if one particular brewery is your main reason for attending.

Tickets include tastings and access to the Western Museum of Flight. That gives the afternoon an extra dimension: time among aviation exhibits as well as conversations with the people behind the beer.

Make discovery the point

Our suggestion is to approach the lineup with a short wish list. Choose a familiar brewery, one you have wanted to try, and one you know nothing about. Ask what distinguishes a beer’s ingredients or brewing process, and make a note of anything worth seeking out later.

Leave time for the museum rather than treating it as background scenery. The combination is especially appealing for friends whose interests overlap in food, local industry, and aviation history.

What to know before buying

All attendees must be at least 21 and bring valid government-issued photo identification. The organizer explicitly applies that age requirement to designated drivers as well.

General admission includes a festival tasting cup. VIP admission adds the earlier entry time, a VIP cup, and specialty pours from selected breweries. Check the ticket checkout for current prices and availability.

The organizer lists rideshare drop-off at 3301 Airport Drive and paid parking at 2901 Airport Drive. Arrange your ride home before the tasting begins.

Put November 7 on your calendar now if this sounds like your kind of Torrance afternoon.
