Soto Del Amo Is Fully Framed |
The 200-unit apartment project near Del Amo has reached a major construction milestone |

One of Torrance’s largest apartment projects is starting to look a lot more real.
Framing is now complete on Soto Del Amo, the five-story residential development rising at 3863 Carson Street, just off Hawthorne Boulevard near Del Amo Fashion Center. The project is being developed by Legacy Partners in partnership with DWS Group.
When finished, Soto Del Amo will contain 200 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from approximately 633 to 1,118 square feet. Plans also call for a six-level parking garage with 440 spaces.
Residents are expected to get a fairly substantial amenity package, including a rooftop pool, fitness center, coworking space and two landscaped courtyards. AO is the architect, with Westport Construction serving as general contractor.
The framing milestone means crews can increasingly shift toward exterior work, building systems and interior construction.
Completion is currently expected in summer 2027.
Soto is part of a much larger residential transformation around Del Amo. Other nearby projects include new townhomes east of the mall and additional apartment developments along Torrance Boulevard.
For residents who have been watching cranes and construction fencing around the area, this is one of the clearest signs yet of how much the neighborhood is changing.
